It is particularly important to Leadec to ensure the highest possible protection of your personal data. All personal data collected and processed as part of an application to Leadec is protected against unauthorized access and manipulation by technical and organizational measures.

Your rights as a data subject

We would like to inform you about the rights you are entitled to as a data subject. These rights are stipulated by Art. 15 to 22 of the GDPR and cover:

Categories, sources and origin of the data

As part of the application process, we may process the following personal data:

 

  • Your master data (last name, first name, name affixes).
  • Contact data (address, telephone number, email address)
  • Qualification data (resume, cover letter, degrees)
  • If applicable, photo / work permit / residence permit / date of birth

Your personal data is generally collected directly from you as part of the application process. 

It is also possible that we have received your application via a personnel service provider with whom we work. In this case, we have concluded the necessary data protection contract. If you have any queries regarding data processing by the personnel service provider, we kindly ask you to contact your personnel service provider directly.

In addition, we use personal data that we have permissibly obtained from publicly accessible sources (e.g. professional networks). 

When processing your data, we observe the principle of data minimization in that you must only provide us with the data that we need to fully review your application documents, such as your resume, or that we are obligated by law to collect. Within our online application form, all mandatory data is marked with an *(asterisk). Unfortunately, without this data we cannot conduct an assessment of your application documents. Of course you have the opportunity to provide voluntary information in the application form.

Your written application will be handled in the same way as an online application. Your original documents will be returned to you at the latest once we have filled the position.

For technical reasons and for legal protection, IP address, the name of the browser type and the version used, the operating system, date and time of access, the information about the website from which you are visiting us and, in the case of receiving an email, the time, sender and recipient of the E -Mail, are also processed. 

For reasons of technical security (in particular to defend against attempted attacks), this data is stored in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU GDPR. After seven days at the latest, anonymization takes place by shortening the IP address so that no reference to the user is created. Please also note the separate information on the use of web tracking tools below. 

Purposes and legal bases of data processing

We are aware of the importance of your data. Your personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of contacting you as well as effective and correct handling of the application process and for contacting you in the context of the application process (Art. 88 para. 1 EU GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 para. 1 Federal Data Protection Act BDSG]. 


In addition, we process your data if we have a legal obligation to do so, in particular under employment law. In the case of special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 para. 1 EU GDPR, a balancing of interests also takes place, i.e. data processing only takes place if your interests worthy of protection are not overridden (Art. 88 para. 1 EU GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 para. 1, 3 BDSG).


Your consent also constitutes permission for data processing. Therefore, if you have given us your consent (e.g., to store the application documents in our applicant pool for a longer period of time or to forward the application documents to other company units), we will also process your data for this purpose (Art. 88 (1) EU GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 (2) BDSG). 


If we obtain consent from you, we will of course inform you about the specific purpose of the data processing and about your rescission right. If the consent also relates to the processing of special categories of personal data pursuant to Art. 9 EU GDPR, we will expressly point this out to you in advance.

Recipients of the data / categories of recipients

In our company, we ensure that only those departments and persons receive access to your application data that need it to carry out the application process or fulfill legal obligations.

 

If you apply for a specific advertised position in the Leadec applicant management system, your data will be processed by our central HR department and, where necessary, by the responsible HR managers of the company advertising the position.

 

In addition, your applicant data will only be passed on to affiliated enterprises with your approval or for the purpose of employee assignment or personnel placement. Consent is voluntary and may be revoked at any time with future effect by sending an email to the contact person named in the application.

 

If you register in the application management system on your own initiative, your data is used - for the purpose of assessing your employment potential - by our central HR department and, depending on your qualifications and skills, by the HR managers in the relevant affiliated enterprises, where applicable.

 

Otherwise, data will not be disclosed to third parties unless we are obligated to do so by mandatory legal provisions (disclosure to external bodies such as supervisory authorities or law enforcement agencies).

Storage period of the data

We store your applicant data until the application process is completed or we no longer need your data for the above-mentioned purposes or you have revoked your consent.

 

Generally, routines have been created to ensure that data is deleted after the purpose for which it was collected no longer applies or after the underlying retention period has expired. In the event of a negative decision, your applicant data will therefore generally be deleted after six months.

 

If your profile is of general interest to us, we would be glad to include you in our applicant pool and then store the data beyond the 6-month period. In this case, we will ask you for your consent before the 6-month period has expired and subsequently every 12 months and at the same time to update your profile. As soon as we no longer have your consent, we will delete your data.

 

Should we enter into an employment relationship with you, the relevant applicant data will continue to be stored by us insofar as it continues to be relevant within the context of the employment relationship.

Third country transfer / intention to transfer data to third countries

Data will only be transferred to third countries (outside the European Union or the European Economic Area) if you have given us your consent to do so or if this is required by law. Compliance with the level of data protection is thereby primarily ensured by an appropriate contractual framework under data protection law.
 

We do not (currently) transfer your personal data to any service provider or group company outside the European Economic Area.
 

The Leadec Group also has subsidiaries in countries where the European data protection law does not apply. If you apply for a position in these countries, we will make you aware that your data will be processed in these countries.

Secure transfer of your data

In order to protect your data from manipulation, loss or destruction, the Leadec group of companies, together with all affiliated enterprises, uses technical and organizational measures that are continuously improved in line with technical progress.
 

All data exchange from and to our website is encrypted. We offer HTTPS as the transmission protocol for our website, in each case using the encryption protocols. Your application documents are also transmitted to us in encrypted form by our application system.

Obligation to provide data

The decision as to whether or not to establish an employment relationship with you can only be made if you provide us with certain personal data, such as your curriculum vitae, employment or qualification certificate, salary details, language certificates, data on availability, etc. In doing so, we naturally observe the principle of data economy and data avoidance in that you must only provide us with the data that we need to fully review your application documents or that we are obligated to collect by law.

 

Unfortunately, without this data we cannot conduct an assessment of your application documents.

 

Of course, you have the option to voluntarily provide us with additional information in your application materials. 

Automated decisions

We currently do not use any fully automated processing to file any decision with legal effect on data subjects.

Cookies (Art. 6 I 1 a, f GDPR)

On our website, so called cookies are implemented in some places. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files which are placed and stored on your device. For reasons of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 I 1 f GDPR), we are using technically required cookies which are required to operate our website as such and to provide our website´s functionality.

Third Party Cookies:

 

Third party cookies are cookies controlled by third parties. Third parties are suppliers, who especially embed advertorial banners on third websites on behalf of Leadec. These banners are using cookies to e.g. transfer information on the fact that a banner embedded resulted in a purchase (e.g. conversion-tracking).

Concerning the activities mentioned above, so called temporary/persistent cookies are used, which do automatically delete themselves after a preset time (usually 6 months). These temporary or also persistent cookies are stored on your device and will auto-delete themselves after a preset time. Our partners´ cookies do also just contain pseudonymous, in most cases even anonymous data. These cookies enable our partners to identify which products you looked at, purchased or searched for, etc. Some of our marketing-partners do collect information beyond these websites, such as the sites previously visited or further products you showed an interest in. User profiles / Web tracking

etracker

 

The operator of this website uses services provided by the etracker GmbH of Hamburg, Germany (www.etracker.com) to analyze usage data. For this purpose, cookies are used which enable for a statistical evaluation of the user´s interaction with the website. Cookies are small text files, which are placed on the user´s device. etracker-cookies do not contain information which would allow to identify the single user.

 

Where visitor´s data is stored, especially the IP-addresses, device- and domain-data will be stored in shortened form respectively encrypted, which does not allow to draw conclusions concerning the users´ identity. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon house, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so called “cookies”, text file, which are stored on your device and which allow us to analyze how you are using our website. The information concerning your visit which is generated by the cookie is transferred to an US-server and is stored there. By activating the IP-anonymization on our website, your IP-address is shortened before such transfer and still within the EU member-states or the member states to the European Economic Area. This website uses the online marketing program Google Ads of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Out of the scope of Google Ads, we are using the so-called conversion tracking. The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent, Art. 6 I 1 a GDPR.

 

Whenever you are klicking a Google-placed ad, a cookie for conversion tracking is placed. These ads are delivered by Google through so called “ad servers”. We are using the remarketing functions offered by Google Ads. That enables us to show our websites´ users interest-related ads on further websites within the Google Advertising Network (e.g. within Google Search or on YouTube). For this purpose, your interaction with our site is evaluated, meaning which sites you are interested in, to enable us showing you ads, you might be interested in also on further websites. For this purpose, Google stores cookies on the device you visit Google Services or websites within the Google Advertising Network with. These cookies use to identify your visit to these websites. Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This services provides for the administration of website-tags by way of an administration surface. Tag manager is technically required as it directs the tags. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 I 1 f GDPR. The Google Tag Manager does solely implement Tags. Therefore, no cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager does initiate further tags, which again may collect personal data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access such data. If on the domain- or on the cookie-level a deactivation has been implemented, such will remain in effect for all Tracking-Tags, if these were implemented by use of the Google Tag Manager.

Social media links

On our website you will find links to the social media services of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Xing. You can recognize links to the websites of the social media services by the respective company logo. If you follow these links, you will reach the company website of XY company at the relevant social media service. When you click on a link to a social media service, a connection is created to the servers of the social media service. This transmits to the servers of the social media service that you have visited our website. In addition, further data is transmitted to the provider of the social media service. These are for example:

 

  • Address of the web page on which the activated link is located
  • Date and time when the website was accessed or the link was activated
  • Information about the browser and operating system used
  • IP address

Our website does –clearly visible- contain links to third party´s websites. Where links to such websites are implemented, we may not influence the linked site´s content. Therefore, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for such content. The party solely responsible ad liable for such content is the respective operator.

 

The sites linked have been checked for potential violations of the law as well as on recognizable violations of the law in the moment of linking them. However, no such content was identified. A permanent control of a linked website´s content is unreasonable in the absence of actual indication of a violation of the law. Should any violation of the law become identifiable, we will immediately remove the respective link.
